Golf Blog- Post 3 The four main Golf Swing Basics
Hi Peter here,
Just a short post today.
In this post we will explore what I believe is fundamental to improving your Golf Swing and you overall game. This is about the four Golf Swing basics and how if you keep them in mind can make a big difference to your swing.
It doesn’t matter if you are just a beginner at the game of golf or a seasoned player, there are four main golf swing basics that need to be at the of your list if you desire to play better golf and improve you overall game. There is an easy way to remember these four basics and if you can remember G.A.S.P you will remember all four. The word G.A.S.P stands for the following:
- Grip
- Aim
- Stance
- Posture
If you want to improve your golf swing and you overall game then you need to play smart. This means that every time it’s your turn and you are about to address the ball, all you need to do is to go through your mental checklist.
- Grip: – Check your grip and pressure to ensure it is set effectively on your club.
- Aim: - Check your aim to ensure that you are properly aligned with your target.
- Stance: - Check your stance, are your feet in the right position for the type of shot you want to achieve?
- Posture: - Posture is also vitally important, are you aware of your body alignment and posture. Most poor shots can be directly attributed to poor posture.
